Hello dear Elaine
Thank you for this wonderful blog – you’ve captured the thrill and pleasure of this year’s fabulous BMJ awards ceremony (certainly for me!) it was just phenomenal to be there with stellar people who are committed to making a difference to women and bases and families (and midwives… And all who work in maternity care!)
Thank you too for pointing out that you felt the announcements went too fast and it was a miss that award winners didn’t get a chance to say a few words: sorry about that. But: it’s absolutely brilliant of you to do what you’ve done: say what didn’t work for you and what could be better:,..you are a true quality improvement leader. Things can be better…
Thank you.
Here’s tae ye hen! See you next time!
Very best wishes
Rona X
Ps please say ‘hello’ to your Mum & Dad from me – always a pleasure to talk about Scotland with another ex-pat!
Thank you for your kind words Rona.
Being a speaker, my thoughts naturally go to an opportunity with a microphone – the other finalists may well have been very relieved not to have said anything!
Best wishes
Elaine
