I have been asked by a company making a documentary about postnatal depression in teenage Mums for someone willing to talk about their experience. As I am way passed my teens do you know anyone who would be willing to share?

Here is the message:-

We are making an hour-long documentary for BBC Three about teenage postnatal depression. It’s estimated that almost half of all teenage mums get postnatal depression, but there is very little help available for them when they do, and little advice given on the subject during pregnancy. The programme will meet a number of women who are or were teenage mums and who suffered or are still suffering from postnatal depression. It will explore the reasons why young people get postnatal depression and look at what help exists, both inside the NHS and through voluntary organisations. The programme will emphasise the seriousness of postnatal depression and challenge the idea that it’s just the “baby blues”.
We are really keen to talk to teenage mums who have experienced postnatal depression and if you are willing to have an initial conversation with us, it puts you under no obligation to take part in the programme. We understand that for some, their experiences of postnatal depression are not something that they wish to talk about openly and all initial conversations remain entirely confidential within the small production team. We strongly believe that this programme could help any teenage mothers who are suffering from postnatal depression and particularly to reassure them that they are not alone.
